Before you start thinking, "Oh yeah, another 'peacenik' site," let me tell you, this is VERY different. Notable people like Nobel Peace Prize winner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Jack Canfield, founder of Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and many celebrities and sports legends are behind this project.

RMT's in Vancouver - Have I Got A Gig For You!

SUGOi a fitness clothing store in Vancouver, BC is looking to bring in a massage therapist or shiatsu/homeopathic therapist once a month to work with the employees (one on one) for 5-15 min sessions to get out the kinks in our necks/backs/shoulders.

Finding Faith while in the Fog

Like most entrepreneurs, I would love clarity, focus and guidance on a daily basis. I would like to know precisely my next steps, and the ones after that and the ones after those and what my life will look like 5 years from now. I want to know what to do, how to do it, when to do it and what not to do. I want a complete manual for my life and business. Do you want one for your life too?

Instead I have found myself a serial entrepreneur over the past 26 years. I started out buying a Molly Maid home cleaning franchise at the ripe old age of 19. About to be married, I joint ventured (although I didn't know that term at the time) with my mother and together we brought Molly Maid to the west coast of Canada. It was quite an experience to have a staff of 6 and a fully operating franchise by 20. I learned that I didn't want staff ever again and in 26 years, I have had one part-time employee for less than 6 months.

Since then I have done all sorts of interesting businesses including my pole dancing business launched in 2004. Although I only worked with my business partner for 9 short months, I learned a lot about partnerships, media coverage and pole dancing. Today if I ever want to get immediate attention in a conversation, I simply mention that I owned a pole dancing business and every woman and certainly every man looks at me and wants to know more.

At the end of the day though, where does all of this put me or any one of you as you meander through businesses, struggle with the perfect career or passion or feel insecure in your business decisions? It puts all of us in a fog that isn't always easy to deal with.

I admire people like Brian Scudmore of 1-800 Got Junk. In listening to him being interviewed one day, I was fascinated that he started the business at an early age and wants to retire with it. That boggles my little mind. Actually sticking with one idea, one concept, one business for decades is beyond my way of thinking. Brian has built an outrageously successful business because of his focus. Bill Gates is another man with the tenacity and stick-to-itiveness that my mother used to speak about. Although I can admire them, the thought of doing one business for my entire life would have me feeling as trapped as a straight-jacket.

However, isn't it true that part of success as an entrepreneur is the ability to decide? Did you ever notice that the word "decide" has as the last 3 letters, "ide" which is the same for homicide, infanticide, genocide and suicide? In other words, when you decide, something has to die. What is that something that needs to die? It is your option - your option of quitting or failing.

You need to commit and that was another interesting definition. "Commitment is doing the thing you said you would do long after the spirit in which it was said is gone. "

As spiritual entrepreneurs, we have a big WHY and if you don't yet know what your big WHY is, then now is the time to determine it. If your why doesn't make you cry, then it's not big enough. I know that mine gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes on a consistent basis. I love it!

When you have a big WHY, then you have the ability and the desire to decide and commit. The word "desire" comes from the Latin word , de -sire or "of the father". Our desires comes from the divine part of ourselves that is much bigger than ourselves. That ability to decide and commit allows us to stay focused even when all the steps are not clear.

Challenges will show up guaranteed. Obstacles will arise I promise. There will be times when you want to quit. Everyone wonders if they will truly succeed. What I appreciate every day is that 26 years of being a serial entrepreneur, experiencing so many amazing things in the world of business, succeeding and failing, has prepared me for the next stretch, the next piece of the puzzle, the next set of stairs on the journey. I am sure that if you looked at everything you have done in your lifetime, you will see that it has all been perfect as you move ahead.

Can you live with the uncertainty, the fog, the doubts and the lack of clarity? I honestly don't know that we have a choice. What I have seen in my own life and in working with hundreds of entrepreneurs is that we just need to keep on moving. It may not make sense. It may look like we made a major detour at times, but in looking back it often makes far more sense in hindsight.

Building a successful business takes faith. Faith in yourself, faith in a loving Universe that supports you, faith that it will all work out in the long term and faith that you will get exactly what you need along the way. If everything was laid out like the Websters dictionary from A - Z, you wouldn't need faith and you wouldn't be the person you are today nor have the amazing situations and circumstances happen along the way.

My dear friend and best-selling author, Tama Kieves writes, "The heart knows the way." Truly, when you stop and get in touch with your heart of hearts, your deepest innermost thoughts, you know that there is a part of you that knows exactly what you are to do next. Find the silence to listen to your intuition, the "voice of God" that is within you. There is a GPS system within you - call it "God's Plan for Success" if you will, but it is within you, guiding you, directing you and giving you more clarity and focus than you sometimes appreciate.

Identify your fears honestly and then choose to see them differently. You can be excited or you can be afraid. It is the same situation - it is simply a different perspective. On a roller coaster, have you ever noticed that some people are hanging on for dear life, looking pale and nauseous and others are screaming with their arms up in the air, loving every minute of the thrill! Same experience. Different reaction or perspective.

Choose your path for today. Know that it probably won't be set in stone. Decide what you want and then kill your option - your option for failure or quitting. Commit and know that it's all part of the journey of life and as a spiritual entrepreneur you have taken on an important role to fulfill it fully. Then appreciate the blessings that come with being on the path. Doing this will help you find faith while in the fog.

A Long, Wee aha

I've been so challenged lately with accessing my "guides". I've become quite attached to receiving my AHA's and they simply weren't happening (hence the challenge!)

As I was lying in bed listening to nothing, trying to connect with whatever Higher Power I thought would decide to connect with me, I suddenly got it. The "Secret". The missing piece that has alluded me my entire life and the answer to the chaos and turmoil I feel all too often these days.

This "Secret" didn't come as an epiphany. It didn't have any hoopla worth making a movie about - it came to me simply as a fact. A small fact. Something that my 4 year old niece could have told me, something I've heard for years but never got at a cellular level - until now.

As I lay in bed, the "Secret" that came to me, was whispered to me: Love.

That's it.

I know, I was let down at first too, until my very next breath when I Got it. With a capital G. Meaning I Got it at a cellular level - it rippled throughout my entire BEING.

For me, manifestation is not about asking, it's not about being willing to receive or allow or whatever term you choose. It's not about having control, being in control or being able to see the future - it's not even about seeing. Manifestation has everything to do with those and nothing to do with it. It's not about being clear and direct and focusing and concentration and taking this step or planning that - for me anyways.

The "Secret" to manifestation for me is simply the energy of Love. The more I authentically BEcome Love, the more wonderful things will show up in my life. My job isn't to plan and figure out and be specific or any of those things. It's to simply BE LOVE.

If I'm BEING Love, I can only attract those things that allow me to BE Love. How can I anticipate what that looks like? Why would I want to? If I know I'm going to receive those things, those experiences, those emotions that allow me to BEcome even more LOVE, why would I need to plan, to predict, to anticipate?

Going back to my other AHA's, I realized what all these AHA's were telling me: I can only see with the emotion I choose to see with. I can only receive with my predominant emotion. If it's not Love predominating, then I'm limiting myself from bigger and better things.

I'm not in control of my Reality - I'm the Manager of who I am BEING, which dictates my Reality. If I'm being anxious, then I create a Reality to ensure I am anxious. If I'm being fearful, then of course my Reality will include those things to perpetuate that fear. If I'm being confused, then my Reality will attract more opportunities for confusion.

But if I'm BEing Love, I will create a Reality that BEcomes and is loving - for myself and everyone I come into contact with. And that's the answer I've been looking for all my life: "How can I succeed and help everyone around me succeed too?"

I now have my answer.

In Dan Millman's book "The Life You Were Born To Live" I am a 29/11 - Born to lead by example. I never knew what that really meant until now. This is all suddenly BEcoming so clear and yet surprisingly so normal...

A Dream AHA

I had a dream 2 nights ago that aliens had landed on Earth. They were erasing the emotions humans had connected to memories. People were running around screaming, as if they were being killed - all afraid to lose their emotions connected to memories. In my dream I was watching them asking myself "Why are they running around like the aliens are shooting lazers at them?" It was so quiet and nothing was happening other than people running scared.

When it was my turn, I was beamed up to a spaceship and I remember being petrified and feeling like crying. The aliens actually looked like Light Beings - they were opalescent in color and not at all intimidating. I remember asking my self "Why am I so connected to old emotions attached to memories past?" I asked the Light Beings the same question and they simply looked at me. I remember telling them I was afraid because I didn't want to lose the joy I had when our daughter was born. They communicated to me that I couldn't lose the joy, love, bliss, etc. In fact, they explained, when I remove the old emotion, I can remember past events with a fuller, more satisfying emotion because of how much I have changed since the original memory. They said I could actually feel more joy when I remembered the day our daughter was born than I did originally.

Then I woke up and the question, clear as a bell was still in my head - "Why am I so attached to old emotions of memories past". That's when I got my AHA.

My ego tries to predict my future not on past memories, but on past emotions from past memories. It's the emotion I'm after. I try to control my future by accessing the old emotion, thinking I can control the future, when all I really have is access to an old emotion and most likely opportunities lost because I wasn't present in the first place.

A Wee Hour of the Morning Aha

I woke up at 5am to my husband pacing. His mom is in hospital and he's having to deal with mortality issues. Not easy for my man. He's big and strong and he has a hard time with things that he can't physically affect.

On to my Aha. So, as he was pacing and dealing with his stuff, I decided to use this time to connect with my soul. And boy did I ever connect. Here is a bit of the information I downloaded (I ended up writing some of it in the dark because it was so profound to me) The question I asked was "How do I give up control?"

Control is like being a Grand Illusionist who begins to believe in their illusions.

Challenge yourself not to react. God is not an entity but an energy - it is a love you can't understand, the ability to let go of all expectation. Now, you begin as if you can't see, as one who doesn't know, as one who desires nothing. It is not about fun my sweet, it is about becoming - becoming more than you are capable of understanding at this point, connected to your illusion of emotions. As long as you rely on emotion you shall be "stuck".

Another Aha

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. Have you ever had one of those moments when you suddenly get something you've always known?

Today, I was thinking about clarity. I've been attracting like crazy lately, however I'm not feeling a level of fulfillment I thought these things would bring me. So, I began a "clarity" quest and what I realized is this: it isn't necessarily the "things" that I wanted . While they are wonderful and I'm grateful for them, there are specific "experiences" I'm really after.

For instance, I prefer paying my bills in full and on time. I prefer having fun while I work. I prefer making well-thought decisions. I prefer honoring my word.

Up until now I had been defining how those preferences should look in my reality. What I ended up realizing is: what if I allowed those preferences to manifest my reality? It really doesn't matter what the experiences are, as long as they allow me to pay my bills in full, on time and that I have fun while I work.

Hence my aha. I'll keep you posted.

The Beardstown Ladies Phenomenon

The Beardstown Business and Professional Women's Investment Club was formed in 1980 as a three-year educational program. "Just by word of mouth, we soon had 36 ladies with different opinions investing different amounts of money," says Betty Sinnock, 69, a charter member and the club's current recording partner. So many members and so many opinions, in fact, that it was a bit chaotic. In August 1983, at the end of the three years, the club voted to disband.

For several of those members, however, the original club wasn't an ending, but rather a beginning. The stock market knowledge they had acquired so far had piqued their interest. "When we disbanded, I felt like we were just beginning to learn," Betty says. "That's when I called the ladies and we talked about reorganizing the club." In October 1983, 16 ladies said yes to the club's second try, investing $100 each initially, then $25 every month. The ladies chose to limit the club to 16 members, all of whom would be investing equal amounts.

The second partnership proved to be a solid one. The ladies went on to demonstrate that 16 women -- most of them senior citizens at that -- from a small town in the Midwest could learn about the stock market. They learned to invest in quality companies and were rewarded. In fact, one of the leading ladies behind the club's reorganization was Betty Sinnock's late aunt, 81-year-old Margaret Greenman, who passed away in April 1987. "All of her money was invested in bank CDs, real estate and savings accounts," Betty says. "She learned from the club and very quickly started investing on her own. After five years, she had doubled her personal estate."

The partners quickly discovered how determined Margaret was to learn and succeed. "Margaret served on one of the club's first committees, and she recommended that they invest in Kellogg," Betty recalls. "Well, Kellogg hadn't done anything for those of us in the first group, so we chose to invest in another company. The next day Margaret called her broker and bought 300 shares. In 16 months the stock doubled, then nearly tripled. She sold her shares and bought a new car for herself."

Indeed, the Beardstown Ladies are tireless in their efforts to find good companies in which to invest. They like to buy shares in companies whose services or products they use, and some of the ideas for companies to study have had an interesting genesis.

(Forgot to post this - I was so excited I was done!)

I did it! Yeah me! It was no cake walk to be sure, but funnily enough, easier than I had anticipated. My tongue was still white, but I'm going to do this again in the fall. I've got before and after pictures so you can see just how my body changed in only 10 days. The first picture I posted on Day One. This picture is from Day 10. Quite amazing actually.

One more day to go! I'm so excited! I was going to stay on until my tongue turned pink, but then I thought why? I can do it again in the fall. Do I really want to continue this or do I do what I originally intended and stop at day 10?

You see, I'm the kind of person whose motto has always been "Go big or die". I grab that tiger by the tail and I hang on for dear life. What I tend to forget is to ask the really important questions. Like asking the tiger where he's going before I grab on. I tend to be an impulsive person, always trying to do better than normal.

Well, coming off this fast, I'm okay with normal. I'm okay with going the 10 day distance and if I choose to do this again, I have the option of going longer. But for now, I set out what I attempted to do. I'm going to complete my agenda, instead of more than complete it.

Whew! This feels so good!

This is the most tempted I've been by food to date. I had to fight so hard not to eat, but I wanted food so badly! I don't know that I was hungry, just really wanted to eat something. I wonder if this is psychological? Or emotional?

Still att'er! Feeling much better today. While my brain is still foggy (have a hard time finding the right words!) physically I'm not as tired.

However, I am finding the opposite of what they tell you. The first 3 days were quite easy for me. No hunger for food. But day 4 to now, I find I am really missing food. I have the desire for food, not the hunger. Maybe another emotional layer I'm healing? I am noticing an emotional change. I was driving yesterday and someone cut me off. Before this fast I would have gotten quite angry. But yesterday, I noticed the THOUGHT that I should be angry with this person, but the emotion wasn't there. Simply the thought brought to my awareness. And I was able to think "Wow, normally I'd be mad, but the anger isn't connected to this thought anymore. Cool." Maybe this is how people on Prosac feel? (LOL)

Anyways, it feels like detachment to me (yeah!) and that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Still on track and quite proud of myself. I can really notice a difference in how I look, but more so, my eyes seem to be whiter and brighter. Brain is clearer today. Still a bit tired, but I want to start yoga soon and I think that will help.
